The CamperBike, based on the Riese&Müller Load model, is designed for “digital nomads, urban dwellers seeking leisure, cycle tourists, and everyone else looking for the right balance between personal and professional life,” according to the company’s website.
According to them, the idea is that users can use it as a regular means of transportation but also turn it into a portable camping spot, which can be used for remote work in the field, visiting family, or cycling on simple trails.
The CamperBike package includes a bed for camping nights, as well as a lounge chair for a resting area. If preferred, the user can also request a custom mattress, which can be folded and stored in the bike.
For those seeking more comfort while camping, a tent can also be purchased for the bike. The “light, compact, and easy-to-transport” tent can be attached to the lounge chair to save space.
Customers can also add a table, which works both as a storage compartment with a lock and a table for meals and computer work.
The electric bike has a top speed of 45 km/h, and in its most complete version, it costs 9,549 euros. For now, the CamperBike will only be sold at the company’s headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany, but it is expected to be available at retailers soon.
